Calling all women with a six pack!?

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Any ladies out there with six pack abs? How long did it take you to get it and what did you have to do?

.There are a number of good ab workouts available. As stated, you first have to have no fat over your abs so eating right and doing cardio is key to that. You can work on your ab muscles even while there is fat over them, so when the fat is gone, there they’ll be!

The P90X program has a good ab workout called Ab Ripper X. It’s 11 moves, that takes about 15ish minutes (25 reps each). It’ll leave you sore. Abs should be done every other day, just like other muscle groups (not daily). Turbo Jam’s Ab Jam is decent also, as are the 2 ab workouts that come with the Chalean Extreme program (all Beachbody products). There are also a ton of other ab focused workouts on VHS and DVD (Abs of Steel, Denise Austin’s Hit the Spot Abs, and Hip Hop Abs are just a few that I have as well as the others named above.

You can also look up ab exercises online, and even check youtube for free video workouts.

Good luck!

Developing Your Abs

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

There is much more to developing your abs than doing a few sit ups every day.  Especially as we age, the process of sculpting our abs becomes much more difficult.  For women this process even becomes more difficult because their bodies are formed to be a bit pudgier in the belly to help them nurture their unborn babies.  All in all though and with the right mind set and work ethic, you can develop the ever elusive six pack.  Here are a few tips.

To develop your abs you’ll most definitely want to exercise your abs constantly.  However, it is very important that you do give your abs plenty of time to rest between workouts.  What I mean is that you do not want or need to exercise your abs every single day.  Your abs will develop more when they are at rest so be sure to give them a day off in between your workouts.

Most trainers suggest you work your abs two to three times a week depending on what your goals are for your ab training.  Just keep in mind that the harder the workout, the more rest time your abs will need.

Many people train their abs mostly for show and not for go.  There are also plenty of athletes out there who train their abs to make their body more stable and secure.  When you develop your abs, you reduce your risk of injury significantly.  It especially reduces risk of back injury because the abdomen is the stabilizer for the entire body.  Developing your abs will give you a strong core, making you an overall stronger person.

There are many different ab exercises you can use to develop your abs. Different trainers will also give you plenty of different advice on which ab exercises to use and which ones not to use.

If you are doing an ab specific exercise routine, it’s always better to start first with the lower abs, then move to the obliques, then to the upper abs. The reason for this is that the upper abs are being utilized in almost all ab exercises and the lower abs are a little harder to focus on.

Find some ab exercises that you enjoy and try to switch up your routine often to give your abs a different workout.  Many people use a swiss ball or physio ball to train with and it provides them with an extra workout because the abs have to work harder in order to balance on the ball.  A medicine ball is another way to make your ab workouts a bit more difficult.

These are just a few tips on how you can develop your abs into a rock hard six pack.  It is important to note however that a healthy diet should be your main prioity, even more so than the ab workouts.  Getting into a habit of eating healthy will show in your abs much more than any ab workouts ever will.

Do women find six packs sexy?

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

I go to the gym about 3 times a week and i have good defined arms not too big but still strong, i have recently been working on my abs to get a six pack. Ive been working on getting a six pack for the last 2 months and now i have one thats well defined i just wanted to know if women find that attractive as i dont know whether to carry on working at it or to slow it down?

Not really as most men who have them can come across as very arrogant.

Is a six pack sexy to girls?

Monday, January 18th, 2010

Women i need your honest opinion, can you tell me if a six pack is sexy because i go to the gym regularly and my arms are big and strong but now ive started working on my abs to get a six pack.. its been about a month and i have got one now and it looks good but is very hard to maintain

Personally a six-pack only looks good on a good looking guy. Thats what I think anyway….

Why do so many women want abs over pecs?

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

like 9 out of then would rather have a guy have a 6 pack rather then a big chest.

Do you just like the way they look better?

Because I am working to get a big chest rather than a six pack right now although both would be good. 6 pack is a second priority to me right now in working out.

Because some men tend to look like they have breasts if they have big pectoral muscles, and if a woman is going to date a man, she would rather the man have abs than breasts.

Is there a name for the type of abs that women get?

Friday, January 1st, 2010

We all know that when women get abs, a lot of the time, theirs forms different than men. Instead of the six or eight pack, they just get a round thing. What’s that called? Is there a naming difference between the six or eight pack and the round abs a lot of women get?

Sorry, I’m an ignorant.

Thanks in advance. :)
It’s called a fetus

Why is harder for WOMEN to get a six pack, than it is for men?

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Now, I’m not talking about just a firm stomach- I’m talking about RIPPED, well defined abs. Everywhere I read, it keeps saying that it’s way easier for men to achieve a well defined, rock hard six pack than it is for women. Why?

i think it has something to do with the lack of testosterone in a women. that means youll have a much harder time developing muscles anywhere. keep trying. :D

Is it ok for girls to have six packs?

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Do you find it creepy? as long as they aren’t like extremely ripped….
