How to Eat Healthy - Rules and Guidelines

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Eating healthy is important in order to keep you and your family live healthier and longer. This article will emphasize on certain rules and guidelines for healthy eating.

Include green leafy vegetables in your diet. They are a rich source of fiber. Various studies and researches have shown that vegetarian have lower rates of cancer and heart disease. Many major diseases begin with inflammation. Fruits and vegetables contain salicylic acid and inflammation-fighting compounds found in aspirin. In one study the blood of vegetarians contained 12 times more salicylic acid than the blood of meat eaters. This can very well explain the lower incidence of cancers, heart disease in vegetarians.

Many people want to know what is the best way to add fiber to their diets? Very simple. One must always add fibers slowly in 5 gram increments for five weeks. If the person is tolerating it well, he can continue until he reaches a level of 25 to 35 grams.

A common doubt among women is what cooking method is the least damaging? In a study using broccoli, microwaving zapped away 97% of the flavinoids and antioxidants. Conventional boiling killed 66%, high pressure boiling killed 47%. Nutrient loss was only 10% when the broccoli was steamed. So the present advice is â??buy a steamer and start steaming the veggiesâ??. This is the least damaging of all the cooking methods.

Another common doubts needing clarification is regarding the healthiest rice of the 1200 varieties of rice including Jasmine and Basmati. Brown rice has the nutrient profile because the Bran Jacket remains intact. The fiber, calcium, phosphorous, B1 and niacin have not been stripped away in processing as they have been with white rice.

Post menopausal women can benefit from having 5-6 meals (small ones) per day, which helps balance blood sugar. After menopause slight diet modifications are essential. A woman must include more fresh fruits, vegetables, wholegrain. Regular exercise will also be beneficial to digestion.

Grape juice, papaya and pomegranate juices are very high in antioxidant power. Medical experts recommend this as the best source for antioxidants.

Recent research says regular black tea is healthy. Black tea contains quarcetin, a compound that helps prevent blood clots, the triggers of heart attacks. When one plans a diet such points should be kept in mind. The diet must be balanced, nutritious, safe and must offer benefits as mentioned above. This becomes a complete diet.

To lower the risk of breast cancer, researchers suggest eating grapefruit regularly. Grapefruit contains the antioxidant compounds Naringin and Limonid. Naringin is found only in grapefruit. In lab studies, Naringin stopped the growth of breast cancer cells.

Eat healthy to live healthier and longer! Itâ??s a natural and easy way to better living.

Abdominoplasty Procedure

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

When purchasing any weight loss product, it is important to do your research. Many people are exchanging their opinions about Abdominoplasty on DietBlogTalk.com

For an additional source, check out Abdominoplasty on the very popular Sensational.com

Overview

Tummy tucks are viewed as such a common procedure these days that many people have it preformed while theyâ??re under anesthesia for another surgeryâ??some women sign up for abdominoplasty immediately following the c-section delivery of their babies! But this operation should not be taken so lightly; despite its widespread popularity and image as a quick-fix for a big belly, abdominoplasty is still highly invasive and carries a variety of unwanted side effects. In a day when so many natural, non-surgical options are available, something like a tummy tuck almost seems a bit antiquated.

Program at a Glance

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that tightens the muscles and skin of the abdomen for cosmetic purposes.

Program in Focus

Patients undergoing abdominoplasty must be put under general anesthesia. A plastic surgeon then makes an incision (usually from one hip bone to the other). The abdominal muscles are tightened with stitches made by the surgeon. Many individuals choose to have liposuction preformed on the area at the same time.

Healing takes several months. While the patient may not be hospitalized for very long, they will experience bruising for some time and scars may last indefinitely. There is a large range of cost for abdominoplasty but patients should expect to pay no less than $5,000 for the operation alone.

Positives

    Many permanently tighten the abdomen

Negatives

No money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with results

Is not intended to encourage weight loss

    Invasive and expensive

â?¢Â Â Â  May not lastâ??many patients must have a â??touch upâ? procedure at some point

Final Thoughts

Abdominoplasty is yesterdayâ??s newsâ??skip spending thousands of dollars and months of healing in favor of a natural supplement that practically performs a tummy tuck for you. With a carefully formulated diet aid you will be able to lose weight from all your problem areas whereas abdominoplasty will only affect your midsection. And while exercise and a proper diet can both slim and strengthen your abs, having this surgery may compromise the way your abdominal muscles function. The links below can tell you more about products that naturally and effectively take off excess weight.

Women’s Muscular Calves- How to Build Slim Calves

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Most women would love well toned calf and leg muscles

But the problem is, many women just donâ??t know how to develop beautiful toned feminine calf muscles! There is a myth out there that men and women should train their bodies differently

I disagree with this especially when it comes to training womenâ??s calves. If you want results as a woman you should train with the same intensity as a man. To get beautiful calves you need to develop your calvesâ?? muscles and to do that you need adequate weights and high intensity training.

Womenâ??s calves should be well shaped and well balanced in look. The calf muscles must be well proportionate. With the development of other parts of the body- again this means you need to Build those calf muscles!

If you are scared that your calves will get too big fear not! Women donâ??t have the necessary testosterone levels to build big muscles as men do! And if you envision those muscular women on ESPN rest assured that you can never get to that level unless you are on steroids! On the contrary if you train your calves like a â??manâ? (with heavy weights and high intensity), you will get beautiful toned female calves.

Another problem is that most women usually donâ??t train their thighs and hips correctly as well! Most women rather place more emphasis on their upper bodes and trouble areas like the arms and abs. The lower body is the most important muscle groups that supports the weight of the body.
Training the lower body will also boost your metabolism which means you will be able to lean out and lose weight faster..Remember your calves carry your entire weight of your body all through the day and hence should get a lot of attention in your workouts. Womenâ??s calves function better when both the Gastrocnemius and the Soleus muscles are well trained and developed.

The Gastrocnemius muscle is a fast-twitch muscle and comes into action During fast moving activity spanning a short duration after which it gets Exhausted. The Soleus muscles come into action during long activities requiring a lot of endurance. The Gastrocnemius muscles of the calves responds well to heavy weights, while the Soleus responds well to light weights but more reps. Train both the muscles appropriately and equally to develop great womenâ??s muscular calves.

To get well toned muscular calves you must be on a well balanced diet to enable the calf muscles to grow. Your regular diet may not be complete in all the essential nutrients and therefore must be compensated with supplements. Other tips for building your calves is you should flex and stretch the muscles before , during and after exercising your calves as doing so will make your calf muscles work more efficiently and allow you to prevent any injury!

As a general rule for building muscular female calves, you should choose exercises that target the calves from all the angles.Good calf exercises include Standing Machine Calf Raise, Donkey Calf Raise, Seated Calf Raise, Seated Calf Press, Leg Press Machine toe raises, and One-Leg Standing Dumbbell Calf Raise. All you need is to select 3 exercises and perform 3 sets of each in the 12-15 rep range! If you follow these simple tips you will get the calves muscles you desire

Lower ab exercises and stomach flattening tips?

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

I have 2 pack abs and my upper abs are really toned.
My lower stomach is pretty flat but I obsess over the fact that it’s not perfect. I know most women have fat in their lower stomach so they can have babies. But it’s making me lose confidence rapidly.

Any dieting tips or lower ab exercises that you can share to help me really tone up my lower stomach?

Thanks a million :)
Your abs are actually one long muscle that is segmented. All ab exercises work all parts of the abdominal muscle equally.

The lower part of your abs tend to have more fat over them than the upper portion. All you have to do to flatten it out is reduce the fat, and thats as simple as adding more cardio to your routine.

workout routine? will i benifit in the abs?

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Okie im starting to go to the gym, heres my routine
bike for 30mins
and 30mins on weights (for arms, leg presses)
and i do some crunches on the inclined bench thing
and after i do yoga stretches/squats lunges for 10 mins.

my legs and arms are fine, the reason i go to the gym is for my hips and a bit on my stomach
i weigh like 108 and im 5"2 im just going to tone my midsection

With doing this routine, will i tone my midsection? or will it only do my arms, butt, and legs toning?

i have healthy diet and i drink protien shakes (for women) after i workout.

Well first thing, there is no such thing as "toning"… To reveal you midsection is all about lowering you body fat percentage which has to do with a combination of excercise, nutrition, and willpower… For excercise i reccomend to do total body workouts 4 time a week (take out the cardio)… On those other 3 days do either high intensity running or intervals… For nutrition just cut out process foods and lower you meat intake while increasing your vegetable and fruit intake.. and willpower… well… just make sure what you want to do is something you REALLy want to do..
